The Websters of Grimsby, Lincolnshire

Thomas Webster and Eliza Ann Blythe had three children before they married in 1851, and five more afterwards.  Thoas was a carpenter, but also ran a beer shop. Their daughter Sarah married Frederick Wakefield, a fish porter on the Grimsby docks.  Frederick and Sarah had twelve children, ten of whom were alive at the time of the 1911 census.  Two of their daughters married Pidgen brothers, and one of them adopted her cousin Joseph William Webster, after his mother and grandmother died, leaving his father unable to cope with two small boys.
