The Pidgeons of Lilleshall

Allen Pidgeon was born at Wem in 1765.  His parents were Allen Pidgeon & and Esther Lionton who were married at Stanton-upon-Hine Heath in 1761 – see the Pidgeons of Stanton & Shawbury family tree.

The initial research for these families was contributed by Carol Oakley, with additional information from Sue Barson, John Hulme, Simon Pidgeon and the family of Bruce Delabere Pidgeon in New Zealand.  Bruce was a keen member of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand, but died suddenly in 2002 while returning from an international Bugatti rally in Canterbury, England (having been born in the Region of Canterbury, NZ).

Note:      ab. = about,  b. = born,  bp. = baptised,  bu. = buried,  d. = died,  m. = married,  (+) - extramarital relationship
