The Pidgeons of Taunton, Somerset & Cardiff, Glamorgan

Richard Pidgeon was the illegitimate son of Mary Pidgeon of Cotleigh, Devon.  Richard was born at Upottery in 1793.  His second wife Fanny Woodman came from Somerset, and soon after their marriage in Gittisham, Devon they went to live at Taunton, Somerset where they raised a family.  Their son William left Taunton, and in 1858 married Ann Evans at Cardiff, Glamorgan in South Wales.
