Stephen Pidgeon of Wakefield, Yorkshire West Riding


Stephen Pidgeon was born at Wakefield and joined the police force as a Police Constable.  His job took him all over England, including Newmarket (where he married Ann Hills), St Albans, Lincolnshire and finally London, where he died after rising to the level of Police Superintendant

Text Box: John and Ida had been married 4 years in 1911.  John’s marriage cannot be found, and Ida THOMPSON’s marriage, in 1905, has no spouse in the indexes.  However, there is only one death of an Ida Pidgeon.  So did John marry Ida THOMPSON, or his cousin Ida Frances PIDGEON?  The mother’s maiden name for James, John and Peter was Thompson.
