PIDGEONs of Kenton - Glamorgan branch

John Pidgeon was born at Kenton (see the Pidgeons of Kenton family tree), and married Fanny Pike at nearby Starcross in 1842. After their first two children died in infancy, John and Fanny spent several years moving from place to place, first to Appledore in north Devon, then to the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, then to various places in Glamorgan. Finally, they settled at Llanwit Fardre, near Pontypridd. John and his sons became coal miners.
