PIDGEONs of Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Philip (born 1830) and Christopher (born 1840) were brothers, the sons of Philip PIDGEON (1791-1872) and Catherine (or Kitty) BRIDGET of Ballynaboley in the parish of Thomastown, County Kilkenny, Ireland. Sometime in the late 1850s the two brothers emigrated to the United States and settled at Memphis, Tennessee. Philip married there in 1861 and Christopher a year later. It is though that Philip’s family was wiped out by a yellow fever epidemic in Memphis. All the known living descendants are from Christopher, and most still live in Tennessee, USA.
