PIDGEONs of Peterborough, Northamptonshire

Rebeccah Pigeon married at Peterborough in July 1771. 18 months later William Piggin married Elizabeth Boulton there. Was he Rebeccah’s brother? When the children of William and Elizabeth were baptised in the same church, their surname was spelt Pidgeon. Of their children, John moved to the Nottingham area and Thomas first to Croydon, Surrey before settling at Marylebone, London. A grandson George emigrated to Australia, after serving in the Army for over 21 years.

Notes:
   ab. = about,  b. = born,  bp. = baptised,  bu. = buried,  d. = died,  m. = married,
Rebeccah PIGEON (b. – d.)
Was Rebeccah the sister of William PIGGIN?
   m.(15/7/1771, Peterborough) William WRIGHT (b. – d.)

When William PIDGEON was buried in 1788, no age was recorded, or anything to identify him. So it is uncertain that it was the father who died (as shown), and not his son.
