PIDGEONs of St John, NB (James) & Long Island, NY

James Thomas Pidgeon was the eldest son of Jacob Henry Pidgeon and Mary Brittain of St John, NB, Canada (see the PIDGEONs of St John family tree). James wandered over the border into Maine, USA and married Mary Ann Beam at East Machias, Me in 1827. About 1851 the family moved south and settled in the county of Suffolk on the eastern end of Long Island, NY, mostly at Sag Harbor.
