PIDGEONs of Stanway, Gloucestershire

Richard Pigeon married Martha Townsend at Winchcombe in 1806. He was probably born about 1778 (accord¬ing to his age at death). Another Richard Pigeon was buried at Winchcombe in 1785. Was that his father? If so, who was Richard senior? He lived at Greet, near Winchcombe when he died, so was obviously related to the PIGEONs of Winchcombe (qv).

A grand-son and twp geat-grandsons of Richard and Martha emigrated to the USA, settling in and around the city of St Louis in the state of Missouri (MO). Other descendants moved to Surrey and South Wales.
