Irish PIDGEONs of Wigan, Lancashire

Patrick and Pidgeon Mary Berring were married at Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland, (see the Pidgeons of County Mayo family tree). They first emigrated briefly to Chorley, Lancashire in England where their first daughter was born, but returned to Ireland for a few years before emigrating again to England, and settling at Wigan, Lancashire.

Patrick was a hawker, his sons were coal miners and his daughters worked in the cotton factories of Wigan and married coal miners.
